Becoming a PADI Instructor is a major step in any diver’s career. It is the point where you go from assisting, as a Divemaster to leading, as an instructor.  You stop simply demonstrating diving skills and begin learning how to teach, mentor, manage risk and create confident divers.

As a PADI Course Director and PADI Tec Trimix Instructor based in Phuket, Thailand, I have seen many candidates arrive with excellent diving skills but very different levels of confidence when it comes to teaching. The right IDC environment and Course Director can make a huge difference.
